"You have to STOP!"

Surry's cries fell on deaf ears as the wings of the thunder god beat so loud and so furious that the very cave shook with his primal fury. Electricity sparked and flew from his feathers, making the static so thick in the air that Surry's hair stood on end.

She only just managed to duck behind a rock before more lightning struck where she had been. Her breath caught in her throat, her heart hammering in her chest, threatening to burst. It was odd, feeling this way again.

It awoke some part in Surry that knew what she had to do.

Taking a deep breath, she urged her muscles to carry her out from behind the rock. Her arms trembled as she slowly made her way towards the raging god, flinching as wild and unwavering lightning split the rock beneath her feet and over her head.

She breathed out slowly.

She stopped feeling the electricity, however temporarily; it felt as if the very ground had disappeared and that she was walking in air. Surry felt power pool in the mark on her forehead, and, as the thunder roared with the god's anger, then felt it release at once in a flurry of colors and clouds.

Zapdos faltered, but only slightly, as he built the Zap Cannon before her, charging it to fire.

Surry reached out, seeing the god in her mind's eye lost, misty-minded. Perhaps it was because of her own pitiful power that she could barely make out Zapdos's mind...? No matter.

She sent her plea out into the dreamy void.

You need to sleep.

Zapdos's Zap Cannon sputtered, sparking chaotically as its energy fluctuated rapidly.

Sleep.

A bolt hit Surry's outstretched hand, and the musharna was sent to floor.

There was heavy, drowning silence as Zapdos's electricity cut out. The god stumbled slightly into the rock, clutching his head as a drowsiness threatened to overtake him.

But only for a moment.

There was a beat of wings, another thundering to crash about the cave.

When Surry opened her eyes, she was alone.

Surry used Hypnosis! It's..not very effective. It was worth a shot.
